Summary:
Woke up to find a bunch of climbers had shown up to the place I camped the night before. Definitely looks like a fun climbing area! I hit the road fairly early with the original plan of heading into Mount Rainier National Park. A call from my climber partner changed my plans, we still needed gear for our climb of Mount Rainer, and I said I’d head into Seattle to pick it up. So off to Seattle it was!
I was not prepared for Seattle traffic thats for sure! But, I did get to visit and explore REI’s flagship store! What a cool place, an outdoor lovers dream, and my outdoor gear fantasies were going full bore! After doing the best to get what we needed, I tried to waste no time fighting the traffic to get back out of the city. The views of Mount Rainier when leaving the city were nuts! The beast of a mountain volcano just stands out as a giant!
Have you ever been to Mt. Rainier National Park? Any suggestions for hikes or things to explore?
Tip of the Day:
Become an REI member! It’s only $20 and you’re a member for life! They have a dividend system, great used gear selection, and really cool stores. (check out the flagship in Seattle if you can).
